The Elk herd in this region is resident to the area and many of the animals from this region are listed in both the Boone / Crockett and Pope / Young record books.

Cow Creek Outfitters are licensed (#2607), bonded and insured Colorado outfitters. We are operating under a special permit from the US Forest Service for the Uncompahgre National Forest. Cow Creek is based in the Uncompahgre Wilderness Area of the Rocky Mountains near Ridgway, Colorado in Unit #65.

I manage the Outfitting and the small ranch where I live. We grow our own certified hay for the wilderness. I enjoy being in the wilderness with our clients. Tyler Campbell Guide My name is Tyler Campbell and I have lived in and hunted this area for the majority of my life. I have a small family of three with a one year old son. I am an avid hunter myself as well as a guide for Cow Creek Outfitters. I also care take for a small ranch in Ridgway where we grow our own certified hay and care for our horses. All our camps are set up by Travis and me so we can personally guarantee they are set up to our satisfaction as well as your comfort.
